Avonmore Electrical Welcomes Glaxo Smith Kline to the First Ex Seminar of 2018
On Friday, 19th January we welcomed members of GSK Ringaskiddy to our half day seminar.
As industry today is all about Risk Management, the seminar outlines the fact that investment in the maintenance of Ex Apparatus can result in dramatic Risk Reduction.
Beginning with a presentation on an introduction to Ex Motors, Lecturer – Derry Sheehan, (MD Avonmore Electrical), discussed;
MOTOR NAMEPLATES
How to identify an Ex Motor
PERSONNEL COMPETENCY
What determines who is competent to work on Ex Motors
USER OBLIGATIONS
What Inspections must be completed and how often.
An outline of the Records you must complete on these Inspections
Following the presentation, attendees were brought on a Workshop Tour accompanied by Managing Director of Avonmore Electrical & Ex Lecturer, Derry Sheehan and ‘Ex Responsible Person’ of Avonmore, John McAuliffe. The tour showcased demonstrations throughout which contextualised the content of the Ex Motor Repair and Maintenance presentation.
Overall, feedback from our enthusiastic attendees on the day was very positive. All of those in attendance were in agreement that the Ex Motor Maintenance Process is extremely complex but that the seminar aided their understanding surrounding the importance of good practice in this regard.
