Can’t let it pass without saying thanks for the monumental result with the Hydrostal last week. You really got us out of a difficult situation.

 

Thank you very much for your invitation to the open day. We have previously had large motors from IFI in Avonmore for overhaul and have also attended training courses on motors for hazardous locations. Great to see the large extensions to the workshop and fabulous facilities catering for huge motors now from all over.

Hi Derry, just a quick email to thank you and your staff for the EX-seminar last Friday. I personally enjoyed the day, to get to see how the motors we use and send away, get repaired and assembled was just a rare treat. I was blown away by the warmth and passion that you and all your staff showed us. It’s been a long time since I saw lads truly passionate about their work and the craft they have undertaken. Every one of them were well able to stand up and speak about their part in the process and were not afraid to answer any questions that were aimed at them. It’s a credit to you and all at Avonmore, look forward to dealing with you in the future.

 

Reference 1MW 400V Caterpillar Generator: “We got to the stage yesterday where all the installation work was completed and the controller reconfigured. We ran it up unloaded and all was right. We ran it in tandem with the other sets as part of generators operating WPDRS and all went ok. Another satisfied customer, thanks to you and pass this onto the rest of your crew.

 

As a mining industry customer I can vouch for the quality of Avonmore Electrical work on motors from 45-kW to 2,400-kW. Also, a big plus from our point of view, fast turn-around and simultaneous mechanical refurbishment. Avonmore really understand customers and customer production needs…

Hi Derry, Just quick email to thank you and the team for a fantastic response to our Rotary Converter issue over the last 10 days. The team’s knowledge and resources were key to a quick turnaround as time was so critical in getting this plant operational. Extended downtime would result in product back order and shortfall in supply to hospitals for operation procedures. Express my thanks to Barry , Garry and all the team involved on a job well done.

 

Donagh, Pat, Derry, Connie, John and everyone involved; on behalf of us all, a big Thank you for all the hard work & dedication, early mornings, late evenings, and determination to get this vital, equipment repaired. Despite all communications being by telephone & email, involving some real technical challenges it has all come together in the end. I look forward to working with you again soon.

I just wanted to drop you a quick line in relation to your staff.

I cannot thank them, and yourselves, enough for the effort that was put in last Friday night, and Saturday morning, to try and resolve the issues around our Transformer. On Friday afternoon I called your guys over to check on the motors and give an opinion on the resistance issues we were getting. They had no problem in assisting us. As the problem developed, and the answer wasn’t clear, it became obvious that a lot more work was needed. Only for the expertise and methodical work of your employees on the transformer were we able to track down the problem so quickly. The Avonmore guys put in the hours, cancelled their trip home (which I can understand has an impact on home life) and stayed with us through what had become a major problem for production.

I would really appreciate it if you could pass on my thanks to the workers in question for their assistance. You should be proud that your employees can act on their own initiative so capably, and that they have a great pride in their work. Their knowledge and ability is also beyond question.
