What does a complete electrical and mechanical overhaul look like on a FIN-FAN Cooler Motor?

The Challenge: A 5.5kW Nidec Leroy-Somer motor (Frame size: LS 160ML, 380 Volts) in service since 1982, arrived into our Workshop with rust damage, broken bolts in the NDE bearing housing, worn bearings, damaged power cables, and an old cooling fan cover.
What We Did:
✅ Full strip-down & sandblast of fan and motor.
✅ Carried out electrical test: Surge, Megger, resistance & interturn tests on stator windings.
✅ Removed broken bolts & refurbished/machined the NDE bearing ✅ housing.
✅ Replaced bearings, seals, power cables & cooling fan cover.
✅ Dynamic balancing of both rotor and fan assembly.
✅ Complete reassembly & final test entire unit.
✅ Full repaint & delivery to site.
This cooling fan was dynamically balanced to G2.5, exceeding the standard G6.3, and the bearing housing was refurbished to H6 tolerance, all fully documented and completed using calibrated instruments
